I don't usually take requests, but this portrait was suggested by someone who's been really supportive. I'm not a great fan of Gaga though I don't mind her, and I thought she may be an interesting change of pace - so I decided to give her the graphite treatment.

I can't estimate how long this took as I lost my flow at some point and ended up dragging this like a ball and chain for months until it was done. The hair was intense and I never quite figured it out unfortunately. Got a bit sloppy. The entire thing ended up being rather tricky (odd lighting this reference had!) and I don't really know what to think of it yet. I definitely learned a lot here, however.

This is mostly #2 pencil but for touches of 6B pencil here and there. The background has a light layer of grey prismacolor.
